The impact of video games

I've been a gamer since I was 5 years old, that was the first time I picked up a Super Nintendo controller and pretended to play with my dad. I blame video games because its the stem of a lot of wasted time but its also what allowed me to eventually find what I love.

My favorite video games got me interested in Video Game Design which led to an interest in concept art and level design. Eventually I accepted that I'm not quite artist material so I kept it strictly as a hobby. However, I still wanted to pursue something art related because its something that I didn't hate. Which in time led me to Graphic Design. This allowed me become the artist that creates "the look" for the games, movies, and music that I love.

This is a post dedicated to my favorite games that wasted my time but set me on the path to finding a career that I enjoy.

Sounds of Creation

As a Graphic Design student I have to get as creative as possible, sometimes on projects about topics I know nothing about. I love music so naturally I try to find influence in music that is similar to the concept I'm trying to create.

A brief introduction...

Hello, my name is Marc and welcome to my blog!

I'm  20 years old and I'm currently a student Graphic Designer. I'm close to graduating and currently working on improving my skill set. I'm interested in a variety of things from design to gardening and I'll explore some of my hobbies on this blog. They best way to understand me is through the things that I enjoy.

I'm a proud owner of an 11 year old cat named Murphy and a 8 month old doberman puppy named Bane. They know just the right ways to frustrate me but I love them regardless. I'm sure I'll post pictures of them at some point.
